Does your schnitzel always taste just as good? No? So you’re not willing to make an assumption in favor of a chef you don’t even know?
But in digitalization projects, people do this all the time: in reference evaluations, in assessing the solution, just because a competitor uses it, in the supposed experience of the consultants, etc. Whether out of ignorance or overestimating one’s own judgment—or that of third parties—which is based purely on “experience” and therefore on assumptions: In all projects, too many assumptions are made, and wrong decisions are constantly taken as a result.
If you’re lucky, you’ll get away with a black eye—or you may even risk the project failing!
What you need to watch out for in a project and how to avoid the assumption trap is what you’ll learn in this podcast.
